Song-A-Day: Body Movin'

   Since we lost Beastie Boy Adam "MCA" Yauch last week to cancer, it's only fitting to pick a Beastie Boys track for today's Song-A-Day.

    Yauch was not only just a talented musician - he was quite an accomplished filmmaker as well, directing several of the Beastie Boys' videos under the name Nathaniel Hornblower. I chose the video "Body Movin'" not just because of the obvious Danger: Diabolik parallels (the background image of this site being from the same film), but because it shows off Yauch's chops as a filmmaker. He was a huge fan of Diabolik, and nails the aesthetic of director Mario Bava and 60's spy cheese brilliantly in the video above. And the song's pretty good, too.
